Finding your new home
There are many factors in deciding what your next home should be. Selecting a home can involve many elements that you may not have considered. The following is a home selection checklist that I have put together to help you clarify your thoughts:
- How many bedrooms and baths do you need?
- Is it an easy commute to where I or my spouse will be working?
- What other room needs or desires do I have, i.e., office, formals, play room, media room, work-out room?
- How much yard space do I want?
- Do I want to be near shopping, golf, fishing, doctors, etc?
- What are my desires for my kitchen-- kitchen island, type of appliances, flooring, upgraded, countertops, etc?
- What type and size should my master bedroom be and what features should it have?
- In what area do you want your home to be?
- What type of home are you looking for?
- How much space do you need in your home?
- Why are you buying a new home?
- What are the schools like?
- How is the recreation in the area?
- What are the longer term trends in the area?
